Tealive Now Open at Dona Soledad

Tealive is now open at Shell Dona Soledad (the one near France)! They opened last April 2, 2025 and is open everyday from 12 noon to 2 am. Perfect for night time milk tea cravings.

We originally discovered Tealive in Kuala Lumpur a couple of years ago. It became one of our favorites especially for milk tea. We were ecstatic when they opened a branch in Sucat and would order via Grab. 

We also tried their sandwiches and we each have our own favorites. It's very filling and great for heavy merienda. Not fond of milk tea? They have coffee, chocolate and other fruity beverages.

Good news! They have some drinks available for buy 1 take 1 until April 30, 2025.

Wendys Dona Soledad is Finally Open!

Wendy’s Soon To Open Its Newest Branch In Paranaque City

Wendy’s, the international fast-food chain known for its tasty hamburgers and sandwiches, frosty desserts, and refreshing iced teas, is opening its newest branch in Dona Soledad, Paranaque City. This marks another exciting milestone for the brand as it continues to expand its presence and cater to the growing demand for quality fast food in the Philippines.

The new Wendy's Dona Soledad branch will be the fourth to open in Paranaque City. In addition to its current stores in Phoenix, Sucat, PITX, and Phoenix Airport Road, Wendy's Dona Soledad is conveniently located along Dona Soledad Ave., near the intersection of France St. in Better Living, Paranaque City. Up to eight full-size vehicles can park in front of the store, with the possibility of a motorcycle parking as well. We hope to see the full range of Wendy's iconic menu items all day and night, as the store plans to be open 24/7.

According to the Wendy's Philippines website, there are 70 Wendy's stores scattered around the Philippines, with 48 of them within Metro Manila. For Paranaquenos, this is actually a "welcome back" greeting for Wendy's along Dona Soledad, as there used to be a Wendy's branch at SM Bicutan several years ago. The addition of this new Wendy's fast-food store in Paranaque City will provide local residents with more variety and options for in-person dining, takeout, and delivery.

As early as June 2023, the first sign of Wendy's coming soon in this location was put up here. And now that the store is opening very soon, we look forward to Wendy's becoming a beloved part of the neighborhood.

Spotlight: SM City Bicutan

Conveniently located at the junction of South Luzon Expresway (SLEX), Skyway and Dona Soledad in Paranaque, SM is the best meeting place in the area.   Buses, jeeps, tricycles and other public transport, either pass by or have a terminal at the back of the mall.   There is also ample parking  in both buildings plus a free outdoor parking area, and a bridge/walkway for shoppers who want to cross from one building to the other.

There are a lot of stores here from food to entertainment to services to clothing and homewear.  There's even a bank (BDO), bills payment centers and ATMs scattered throughout the mall for convenience.

The biggest stores here are of course the SM department store and SM Supermarket.  

If you want to hang out, there are several cafes such as J Co, Serenitea, Bo's Coffee, Dunkin Donuts, French Baker and Starbucks.  SM also has 4 cinemas, a food court, an appliance store, a hardware store, a bingo hall and an entertainment center for shows, events and sales.

Coming Soon to SM Bicutan! - Starbucks

Brewing soon at Building A of SM City Bicutan is Starbucks. 

Starbucks will be situated at the former location where Watsons resided.  

This will be the 2nd Starbucks along Dona Soledad, the 1st one in Better Living which opened last January 2014.

Google Street View Car Spotted in Paranaque City

Since its launch in January 2014, Google Street View, which has been popular for making it so much easier to virtually tour streets and places in the U.S. with this technology, brought the same technology to the Philippines.  For the 1st time, Google Street View capturing tools were going to capture Philippine streets and locations.  The Google Street View car started going around taking imagery to attach to Google maps.  And in places where the Google Street View car couldn't fit (think eskinitas and other terrain that a car couldn't traverse), there was a backpack version of the Google Street View device where a person could just strap the backpack and walk around capturing the same imagery.

Last week, the Google Street View car was spotted along Dona Soledad entering the Skyway from Bicutan in Paranaque City and exited somewhere around Magallanes in Makati City.

Paranaque Resumes Number Coding Scheme Starting December 1, 2011

The Unified Vehicle Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or more popularly known as the number coding scheme will be reimposed in Paranaque city as a result of a sudden increase in the volume of traffic along the Bicutan area causing a horrendous traffic along the Bicutan interchange.

The number coding schemes takes into effect starting December 1, 2011 and will include the following major roads:

• San Antonio Avenue,Pres.Aguinaldo Street,Dominique Savio street,Japan street,Michael Rua street and France street in Barangay Don Bosco.
• E.Rodriguez street in Barangay Moonwalk,Doña Soledad extension and Doña Soledad Avenue in Barangay Don Bosco.
• East Service road from Dr.Santos Avenue up to FTI Parañaque area.
• West Service road from Dr.Santos Avenue up to Merville Park Subdivision Parañaque area.

In addition, the truck ban as provided under the Parañaque Traffic Code as well as in Ordinance No.99-14 be strictly implemented along those streets mentioned herein.
